The installer is taking forever on the downloading required files page. I have tried all the possible methods, from running it manually from Windows 10 Forums > Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade >.NET Framework 3.5 stuck on Downloading required files (Windows 10 1903) > .Net 3.5 stuck in searching for updates, alternate method won't work I have browsed the corners of the internet trying to find someone with my problem, but have yet to see something exactly the same as what I am seeing.

Since the download doesn’t work, the other solution is to install the framework from a local media, USB Disk or DVD ROM depending on what’s at hand. where D: is the drive letter of the Windows 10 installation USB stick/DVD. This command will install NetFx3 from the local file on the USB stick/DVD (microsoft-windows-netfx3-ondemand-package.cab) instead of attempting to download it and getting stuck. Even if I download the .NET 3.5 installed from the internet, Windows Features pops up and tells me that I need to install .NET 3.5 and it is stuck again on “Searching for required files”. I’m running Windows 10 on that laptop, and because of reasons like this I’m still running Windows 7 on my main PC
